About Me

My name is Marie and I’m the owner of MY Therapy. I’m a fully qualified counsellor and coach based in Charlton, South East London and Haggerston, East London. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and subscribe to their code for ethical practice.

Throughout my life, I have always been drawn to people and love hearing their stories and sharing in their successes and struggles. I’ve also sought to help and encourage those who are facing difficulties and this lead me to retrain as a counsellor and coach after a successful career working in business and finance.

In addition to my private practice, I have experience working in other counselling settings. These include a large hospice offering bereavement counselling, a charity working with new mums struggling with depression and anxiety, and a community counselling agency. As a result, I have experience with people from differing backgrounds and with a wide range of presenting concerns.

At MY Therapy, I offer a safe space for you to process and explore, discovering and living out your full potential. I work integratively and combine traditional and innovative therapeutic approaches.
